ARIES
Spring begins with your planetary guide Mars in Cancer transiting the final degrees of your fourth house of home, family and origins. In this portion of Cancer, Mars is blessed with the fruits of the good life but struggles to manage or care for them well. For you at this time, Mars in this portion of Cancer may create an overwhelm of wanderlust, searching infinitely outwards or inwards for a stable sense of home and material reliability. You may be dreaming of greener pastures and exotic landscapes elsewhere which at this time may only be a blissful distraction from a thorny budget and the sores of relationship that has you more embroiled than normal. Precarity surrounding issues on the homefront, whether that is where you cook and sleep or feel safe in your body is a priority this spring as Mars has completed its retrograde here in Cancer making way for Jupiter's ingress into your fourth house in early June. Jupiter in your fourth house will in general be a welcomed relief to family and domestic turbulence. But the goods won't show up on your doorstep this summer if you do not first address the wavering undermining relationship to recognition, career and associations that no longer carry their weight. The support of stable and fulfilling work, friends and alliances is a possible illusion at this time for they most likely benefit more from your dedication than you receive in return. Save yourself this spring before you can save others.
TAURUS
Temporarily invisible, perhaps unreachable, at this time you may desire solitude and privacy. Venus, your planetary ruler is retrograde. While in a transitionally vulnerable position, Venus approaches the Sun in Aries, who sugar coats nothing, offering uncomfortable truths. Recent and abrupt events involving family or relationships may have created financial shake ups or emotional instability. Retrograde in Aries, Venus meets disorder and corruption at a rapid pace when it prefers harmony or steeping in a soothing brew. Confrontation and interrogation is seldom your intention. But this placement of Venus is a condition of re-initiation where at this time even you must face the uglier facets of your lifestyle, its history and the messy universe we are born into. The desire to be obscure right now may be to heal something first or to see something anew. Consider the wise transmutation of thoughts, words and actions as well. Revelations are often born in silence where perspective is developed and applied strategically versus short sighted outbursts, wreaking havoc and providing little in return. Venus meets the Sun a few days after equinox seeding clear insight as to the tough questions that need to be asked and with whom. You'll have about a month of reprieve when Venus re-enters Pisces through the end of April but it forms a few subversive contacts vaporizing your commitments to associations, friendship and objectives that parallel them. As spring becomes summer, this slow burn will become redemptive when Venus enters Taurus in early June.
GEMINI
Mercury, your guiding planet, is retrograde in Aries at spring equinox, not visible as an evening star setting very shortly after the Sun. Evening Mercury is somewhat reserved and in Aries, energy is tapered inward where thoughts can fester like a colony of ants. You may be prioritizing relationships and the inherent tension of sharing resources of material, emotional or spiritual value. But at the equinox you’re preoccupied with the implications of friendships, colleagues and the collective drive to do good; at home, in a meeting and its rippling effects throughout the world. Mercury shares a hidden configuration with Saturn at this time, placing you in a vulnerable position in matters of career and the livelihood you receive from it, affecting the comforts of home. If there are goals you’ve been working on personally or collectively that are beginning to wilt, it is a worthy time to safeguard what you find precious and sacred within your work and the sanctuary of home. It is a favorable time to prepare the awkward but necessary promotion and pay increase request at the job or reset the personal goal post on your terms only. I wouldn't place the goal post too far at this time. Although there is tension in the air at the start of spring there is also a nonreactive and compassionate approach to addressing complicated needs. Mercury will soon be a morning star, rising before the Sun heralding a time when this message you are stewing over will be heard and the more constructive conversations can begin shifting your circumstances, for better or worse. Don’t shy away.
CANCER
As Jupiter is still transiting your twelfth house you're learning this year about the wisdom and blessings hidden amongst loss, solitude and sorrow. Mars in Cancer, transiting your first house of mind and body has been fueling ambition driven by emotional single-mindedness. A sticky psychological goo that becomes aggressively messy the harder you force it or attempt to understand it. The Moon, your planetary guide is in Sagittarius, transiting your sixth house of toil, forming a savory aspect with Mercury and Venus, both retrograde in Aries. You may feel like you are swimming upstream this spring, caring for various loose ends that must hold together long enough to realize a new phase in your relationship to how you are recognized and valued. You're detaching from the learning phase and transitioning into the application phase. But the inbetween phase is a phase onto itself. Perhaps the training wheels are soon being removed from a new vision or lifestyle change. It is that delicate balance of pedaling, but not pedaling too hard. You’re now applying all of your concentration and feeling it in your body which can be nauseating or like a free fall. It is important to not forget your body during this phase. Upstream there is a pool of warm resting water and it's coming in June when Jupiter enters your first house tempering the rapid waters you’ve been navigating for months now.
LEO
Mars, who guides matters of belief and perspective for you, has been restlessly transiting your twelfth house of grief and surrender. Worry, questions and erodes your faith. Sometimes you must come to your knees. Lose the call. Unravel completely. Mercury and Venus, both retrograde at spring equinox, stoke curiosity in how you interpret the world. Interpretation is a gateway to believing something. Make believe is a pathway to developing belief in something. Perhaps friends, family and those you share common ideals with appear to be feeling similar but nobody is talking about it. Everyone is in disbelief. Or is reluctant to speak their truth. But all the things left unsaid will never be brought to light. Others may come to you this spring as a guiding light. You’re curious about where faith can be derived from direct experience and the transmutation of melancholy and sabotage into elation. You may be showing others where we can collectively derive belief from the sensual world apart from institutional standards and corruptible mandates. Following your pleasures and devotion to your senses is one of your most dependable indications of faith. The faith you seek makes peace with the intangible experience of delight, disgust and awe as well. The light you seek this spring becomes a body, a couple, a family, a community containing an ecology of beliefs.
VIRGO
This spring you are embracing the disparate qualities in others while safeguarding the spirit of love and creative community. You're learning to lean further into the awkward but essential place of speaking through your gut. Mercury, your planetary guide and Mars are working together, cutting through lingering fears and impeding doubts of a new voice or way of being visible which may or may not be literally visible. At the same time you are learning to play well, or better, with others as Mercury and Saturn share a covert relationship unpacking topics of creative process within partnerships and community. With the south node of the Moon now firmly transiting your first house until July 2026, you are unwinding parts of yourself, tapping into the underbelly of others; reflecting and shining their light. Surrender reveals vulnerabilities and you look to trusted peers, friends and colleagues for grounded wisdom; assurance you are making sound new connections. Mars still in Cancer transiting your eleventh house comes with hesitation and a hurried learning curve. When you would rather remain silent, the universe is requesting you share something that comes from a primal source. You’re placing others and partnerships on a podium this spring through reverence and celebration. Your fine attention to the gifts others offer in turn develops a voice in you that understands no bit of creation is detached from an immeasurable history of shared ideas and a diversity of voices.
LIBRA
Venus, your planetary guide, is retrograde in Aries approaching the conjunctions of Mercury and the Sun soon after spring equinox. This spring initiates a new orientation to others, your vocation and self fulfilling promises At this time you may feel misunderstood or compromised in relationships where you’ve made concessions for the sake of ease and peace or the illusion of spiritual and material security. Rushing in, you’re uncovering where corruption lies in yours and others intentions, posturing care or neglecting unspoken truths. Notice especially where a degree of stubbornness or a bitter tongue has spoiled and turned to enmeshment, upsetting lasting intimacy and dampened personal objectives. Be aware that emotions can escalate fast at this time and be blown out of proportion. Make good on missteps in communication or awkward promises. It is ok to be a bit messy. Face conflict head on, with your heart on, rather than beating around the bush. The ball is in your court so to speak which is not always the choice position but at this time others may be preoccupied or not able to communicate as directly and honestly as you right now. High minded discussions that come from a tender place will get you further than a headstrong or stubborn position that keeps everyone idling nowhere. Handle relationships with white glove service this spring before Neptune and Saturn enter your seventh house, reshaping every notion of commitment you could imagine.
SCORPIO
You've travelled far and wide this winter into spring literally or figuratively. Mars, your planetary guide, is completing its final weeks in Cancer in your ninth house of distant lands and mystical matters where it has been for a large portion of winter due to its retrograde. Perhaps you’ve relieved yourself of some distressing ideologies around your relationship to work and health, physical and mental. You’ve pursued spiritual alchemy through travel and mystical interests experiencing the numinous through your love of the material world. How to work smarter not harder has been a question. And at what cost financially, emotionally and spiritually does one's ferocious ambitions bring? This spring as the Moon is approaching its opposition with Jupiter across your axis of sustenance you may also untangle uncomfortable truths regarding finances which at this time could see a bit of turbulence. Mars at spring equinox is applying to the trine of Saturn in Pisces in your fifth house of creative pursuits, pleasure and risks taking. This spring asks you to breathe more levity and romance into lighter hearted approaches. Lift frustrations of the latter few months with artful irreverence as well. You’re rebooting but not forgetting your relationship to the material world; more aware of its alluring illusions and idling attachments. A challenge for you at this time is how to maintain buoyant play and exploration amidst creative chaos while regarding your financial checks and balance with holy reverence.
SAGITTARIUS
As spring equinox passes, the Moon is waning in Sagittarius in your first house of mind, body and prowess. The protective care of the divine sheds light on emotional debts of former relationships that you can no longer afford spiritually or financially. This comes as a relief, a path unfolding or a fork in the road as you pour your heart and soul into something worthy, compelling and brave. Within a day the Moon will oppose your planetary guide Jupiter in Gemini in your seventh house of others. This configuration offers insight and perspective on the circumstances of the collective and the personal, and as the Moon makes a sensual aspect to Mercury, Venus and the Sun in your fifth house, a blossoming of your erotic and creative potential. You are connecting the dots between the senses. Recalling and summoning taste, touch, smell, sound, spatial perception and the ethers. You’re sensitive to the clues and building blocks of pleasure, elemental connection and the arts of well being. Like the zest of a rind your senses are vital and raw. Grate too deep and pleasure becomes bitter. It is a dynamic time this spring as you distill a masterpiece into its essential oil. You’re a wizard of the sensual world, casting spells with bare instinct. But as a friend of mine says, ”speed kills.” The Moon moves quickly. Consider the revisions. Do the edits. Lean into unabashed mastery and completion but don't go so hard that the intentions you’ve deeply seeded, bloom prematurely or not at all.
CAPRICORN
Saturn, your planetary guide is approaching the conjunction of the north lunar node in your third house of the stories we tell ourselves, siblings and extended family. Soon after the spring equinox a solar eclipse occurs close to this node marking an amplification or new chapter in family and friendship dynamics. Nascent alliances and friendships will be a source of emotional support at this time as you find yourself navigating challenging patterns which undermine your ability to establish or share your truth within a story unfolding amongst family or friends. Or, with respect, malady of the mind or body that has been haunting you for some time. You are a compassionate warrior at this time, standing your ground, clear of your convictions. But reversals in family, health or career matters may be destabilizing the foundations you stand upon. First, navigate the complications of championing your own causes amongst the dramas of others. Saturn in this portion of Pisces applies wisdom and benevolence to its decision making. You are willing to stand and work through adversity that feels ultimately worthwhile. The outcomes look positive when the full Moon in Libra on April 12th coincides with its guide, Venus stationing direct following its retrograde. From then on focus on your creative voice, the comfort it gives and its integrity which fends off the wolves who enter your henhouse.
AQUARIUS
This past winter, you’ve come to accept what amount of sustenance is comfortable enough. Enough is relative. At spring equinox, the majority of your planets are in the subterranean hemisphere of your chart, where matters of the material world, the body, its health and possessions are of enhanced focus. The Moon however is elevated and searching in your eleventh house of worldly desires and aspirations as it opposes an enthusiastic Jupiter in Gemini transiting your fifth house of pleasure and risk taking. This spring may feel like a good time for scheming and dreaming big but your astrology says, for now, keep your ambitions closer to the ground. It may be tempting at this time to easily lose interest in established, hard earned rituals and regimes. The work you’ve been or thinking of doing to address unrest in your health and vocation is coming to a resolution as the Sun soon joins Venus and Mercury in your third house of practical matters and magic. Attempt to stay with your program long enough to feel and embody its slow but steady effects. Prolonged perversion of daily life has made reality and illusion difficult to decipher. It's ok and advisable to keep things marvelously familiar this spring. Discover nuance in routine. Reroute your daily walks or drives to the same places. Rearrange the furniture, adding or subtracting nothing. Meal plan well ahead of time or budget for take-out. Enjoy the sound of familiar voices. Normal will be distracting or enchanting enough.
PISCES
Mars who guides your second house of sustenance, finances and food; the stuff that supports life is in the final degrees of Cancer this spring, transiting your fifth house of risk, leisure and pleasures of the sensual world. You’re deserving of great pleasure. This spring you’ll notice a shift in where you tap into sources of lasting strength and potency. With Saturn in your first house and Jupiter still transiting your fourth house in Gemini your sense of home has undergone change or been less a place of deep rest; albeit a cave to hide. Recently, you’ve felt the need to be the court jester, entertaining those you protect in your vocation or juggling your personal and public facing life with numbing effect. In spaces where you are seen, such as your career or wherever you share your talents, you’re seeking to uncomplicate interactions and temper a better home life balance. The pleasure you derive from your visibility and effectiveness in this life is leaning towards shared time with close and nurturing relationships. Those who are truly life giving. Sustenance and vitality comes from quality time at home. You’re rethinking routines and spending patterns that are bleeding to death. You’re questioning fleeting romances and modes of pleasure that cost more than they are worth. Reach out to a friend or loved one. You’re not an island. Someone close to your heart or home is waiting to engage and hear more about the flavors you seek and the nourishment derived from your passions and silly interests.
